Father’s Day, birthday, etc.

 Got this cute new dresser for my bedroom where my desk used to be. I love it! But I actually don’t have that much to put on it, lol. We’ll fill it over time. Gives me an excuse to buy more plants!

Freya is such a loon. She loves to lay on paper and hard surfaces. Makes no sense, lololol.

Summer is great

 

We had a great week. Spencer and Genevieve and their cousin Shae got to go to a math rocket camp at UVU. Tasha and Kelly and me and Bill tag teamed getting them there and letting the younger three siblings trade off playing at each other’s house all week. They all had a blast. We capped it off with a sleepover at the cousin’ house and I came down Saturday morning after and they swam and we went to Costco for lunch. It’s so fun to live near cousins!

Chloe came out like a bandit from Saturday. The primary in her cousins’ ward did a clothing and toys exchange activity and she came home with a bunch of new dresses, including this dress up outfit. 

Big thing we did this week was a house reorganization. We put Spencer and Genevieve together so that we can have an office for Bill and me. And we reorganized the basement. We have our workout equipment in one half. Then on the other side we have a tv room plus a Lego area and drawing desk. I really love it.

We’re also doing a summer dessert restaurant tour. This week: Handel’s Ice Cream Shop. Delicious! I’d go back. 😍

Hand surgery

Spencer has started to develop an interest in cooking and baking and it’s pretty fun. He made fried chicken tenders and curly fries and coleslaw this week. It was delicious. And he made some cookies and some pumpkin rosemary rolls. They were all so good. 

I got a trigger release surgery done on Wednesday. I’ve had hand problems for years and already got carpal tunnel surgery in both hands a few years ago but I finally decided to get my right pointer finger done in hopes for some improvement. I really didn’t make much in the way of plans for this and the recovery is more intense than I expected or really considered but I’m glad I did it and hopefully I’ll see some improvement in symptoms. I’m kind of gimpy for now as I can’t use my right hand a lot for gripping or pulling or much else. 

Bill bought a seal and some wax for fun this week and we’ve had a great time using them. 

 

Summer is here!

My niece Bella got baptized this weekend  it was a lovely day! She asked me to give the talk in the Holy Ghost  that’s the first one I’ve given! I usually get asked to do music. 

Anytime I’ll let her, Chloe always turns new boxes into spaceships.

On Memorial Day we always go to my dad and grandpa’s graves and clean them up. It’s a lovely tradition. 

Spencer won an award at school along with a few classmates. He’s always so impressive to me what he accomplishes. 

Aaron had such a great teacher this year. He really loved her.
