This week instead of my normal workouts, since those are right out at the moment, we picked up some new pickle ball rackets for the kids to add to the pair Bill and I already have and played together one night. It was fun! Bill and I are pretty evenly matched. I played tennis when I was younger and actually learned pickle ball in high school way before it was popular. Bill is a rocking good ping pong player. So we have a great time playing.
Saturday we woke up at 5:30 and did a four-mile hike in Corner Canyon before the kids woke up. We left a note and came back by 7:45 and Aaron was the only one awake. I was so amused.
And by extension, at church today I looked at Spencer and the pants I had just bought and hemmed for him for an Easter gift are short now. What?? No wonder he’s sleeping so much. And Genevieve must be growing too because they continue to be the exact same height.
On Saturday we also went to a get together with four of the five roommates I lived with when Bill and I were dating we have 17 kids between us now! And three more from the fifth roommate that couldn’t make it it was really a fun afternoon.
My old, trusty miter saw, that I actually really wanted to upgrade, fell and broke when we were moving into our house eight months ago. I haven’t been able to prioritize replacing it until this week and it came and I finally was able to cut wood to frame this temple paint by number I finished back in February before I started my new job. I love it so much! And I’m so happy to have a saw back in my set of tools.
