This is a parenting post if ever I've written one. My apologies but it's the only thing on my mind right now so either I write a random gross parenting story or don't blog, lol. You can see which one I picked, obviously.
I'm drowning in pee I tell you. My oldest is quite fastidious and he hasn't done me any favors to be prepared for the two year-old being potty trained but overly confident about his aiming abilities, which are in fact quite poor. I swear I wipe up messes five times a day and my bathroom still reeks of pee. The real problem here is his height. Aaron potty trained so young that he's not tall enough to aim right. So give it a year and we'll be fine, but in the meantime I can't find the source of the stench.
Let's talk about how bathrooms in old homes aren't helpful at all in the cleaning efforts either. And living in a humid climate. That's three strikes against me, right? The fight is real and constant y'all. I appreciate the lack of diapers. I'll appreciate more the lack of puddles and stench and don't even knock my hopes out with comments about how it's never going to get better. Hahaha! I'm not going to accept that. I have one example to prove that boys can use the bathroom without being disgusting.

Jefferson says, "as long as it's not poo!" We deal with bad aim on occasion. Days will go by without issues, then one day I notice that horrid dark yellow color on the base of the toilet or a random puddle and it is NOT after bath time, so it's not bath water...These are two reasons that I have started 1. washing the bathmats every week. 2. mopping the bathroom floor every time I clean it (which is almost always once a week). and 3. NOT letting Joanna in the side of the bathroom where the toilet is. Good luck. Sounds like a tiny step stool would be useful, one that can stay in place while other kids use the toilet and is still there for when Aaron has a turn. I was actually not in favor of Donovan learning to pee standing up, but Jefferson said that he'd get made fun of at school if he sat down to pee.
